EMR to launch new GBR Rail Foundation Apprenticeship.
Programme will be open to young people aged 17 to 25, providing the opportunity to gain practical workplace experience alongside structured learning.
Participants will develop skills and knowledge across a wide number of industry areas.

EMR is celebrating after an apprentice scoops a prize at this year's Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards.
Daisy Madgwick, a Senior Conductor, was named the Intermediate Apprentice of the Year.
Judges were also impressed by her consistent ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service, compassion and professionalism.

EMR is investing around £100,000 to refurbish toilet facilities at five stations at Sleaford, Spalding, Beeston, Newark Castle and Kettering will be refurbished.
New RoomMate audio technology will beinstalled which is designed to help blind and partially sighted visitors to navigate and use the space independently.
At Kettering station a reconfigured baby change facility will also serve as a private space for nursing mothers.
All refurbished facilities will follow Colostomy UK’s Stoma Friendly Toilet guidelines.

EMR to take the next step towards restoring its full Intercity timetable.
Intercity services will increase from 92% to 96% of the planned timetable from Monday, 19 October.
Further services restored for customers travelling between Sheffield, Nottingham and London St Pancras.
Additional weekday and weekend services return, providing greater choice and flexibility for customers.
EMR thanks customers for their patience while it continues to work with Hitachi Rail to improve fleet performance and reliability.
