Reminder: RMT strike action to affect EMR services on 1, 8 and 15 August - with no first class available on days affected

Members from the RMT union will strike on Saturday 1, 8 and 15 August.
EMR will operate a significantly reduced timetable starting at 07:00 and finishing before 19:00 on its Intercity and Connect routes.
EMR will temporarily declassify First Class on its Intercity services during strike days
In addition to strike action, the RMT has also notified EMR that members will be taking Action Short of Strike (ASOS), from Sunday 2 to Friday 7 August (inclusive), Sunday 9 to Friday 14 August (inclusive) and from Sunday 16 August until further notice. Trains may be subject to short notice alterations and cancellations.
Customers are advised to only travel if their journey is essential and to check their full journey, including first and last trains, before travelling on these dates.
Regional services are not affected.

EMR to introduce temporary Intercity timetable following fleet performance and reliability issues in service

• EMR has announced a temporary reduced Intercity timetable from Monday, July 20.
• Decision follows service reliability issues with Hitachi Rail’s new Class 810 fleet and their maintenance of EMR’s existing Class 222 fleet.
• Reduced timetable will remain in place while EMR works with the manufacturer, Hitachi Rail, to resolve disruption for customers as soon as possible.
• EMR apologises to customers who have been affected by the recent disruption and is committed to restoring a reliable service.

EMR service update: Temporary Intercity timetable to continue during hot weather this week

By making considered reductions to a small number of services, EMR can better manage the available fleet.
Regular EMR Regional timetable resumes from Tuesday, 14 July.

Bedford train collision – passenger services to resume on Monday 29 June as recovery work completed

Recovery and repair work at the site of the Bedford train collision has now been fully completed, with passenger services on the Midland Main Line set to resume on Monday 29 June.
Passengers travelling today (Friday 26 June) are also reminded that a Met Office red weather warning for extreme heat is in force across a large part of England, and should only travel today if absolutely necessary.
