      <title>Reminder: RMT strike action to affect EMR services on 15 August</title>
      <description>&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Members from the RMT union will strike on 15 August.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;EMR will operate a significantly reduced timetable starting at 07:00 and finishing before 19:00 on its Intercity and Connect routes.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;In addition to strike action, the RMT has also notified EMR that members will be taking Action Short of Strike (ASOS), from Sunday 9 to Friday 14 August (inclusive) and from Sunday 16 August until further notice.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Trains may be subject to short notice alterations and cancellations.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Customers are advised to only travel if their journey is essential and to check their full journey, including first and last trains, before travelling on these dates.&lt;/li&gt;

      <description><![CDATA[<p>• EMR to take first step towards restoring its Intercity timetable following a period of improved service stability under the current temporary reduced timetable.<br>• Intercity services will increase from 87% to 92% of the planned timetable from Monday, 31 August.<br>• Reinstatement of key services for Sheffield and Nottingham, including eight weekday and four weekend services previously fully cancelled.<br>• EMR thanks customers for their patience while it continues to work with Hitachi Rail to improve fleet performance and reliability.</p>]]></description>

      <title>High temperatures trigger timetable changes on EMR network on 12 and 13 August</title>
      <description>&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Customers urged to check before you travel on Wednesday 12 August&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Essential travel only advice in place on Thursday 13 August&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If travel is essential, customers are encouraged to travel before 12:00 noon, to avoid the highest temperatures.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Customers should expect disruption across the network.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To help maintain fleet availability across the network, Regional services between Sheffield and Liverpool will be suspended on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 August&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Regional services between Nottingham and Worksop and Nottingham and Leicester will be suspended from 12:00 noon on Thursday 12 August&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;EMR is working closely with Network Rail to monitor conditions and keep services running safely.&lt;/li&gt;

      <description><![CDATA[<p>• EMR has announced a temporary reduced Intercity timetable from Monday, July 20.<br>• Decision follows service reliability issues with Hitachi Rail’s new Class 810 fleet and their maintenance of EMR’s existing Class 222 fleet.<br>• Reduced timetable will remain in place while EMR works with the manufacturer, Hitachi Rail, to resolve disruption for customers as soon as possible.<br>• EMR apologises to customers who have been affected by the recent disruption and is committed to restoring a reliable service.</p>]]></description>
