EMR Regional and Connect: EMR’s Family Saver returns for Christmas

East Midlands Railway (EMR), operated by Transport UK, is helping families make the most of the festive season with the return of its Family Saver ticket, offering savings on selected Connect and Regional services from 18 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.
With Christmas markets, festive attractions and seasonal events taking place across the country, the special fare gives families an affordable way to enjoy a day out together or visit loved ones without the added expense of travelling by car.
The Family Saver, which is available to buy now, allows groups of up to two adults and four children to travel together for a single fixed fare on selected EMR services, helping families keep the cost of festive adventures under control.
Those heading to London using EMR Connect services can enjoy the capital’s festive atmosphere, including its Christmas lights, seasonal attractions and Christmas markets, while families travelling from St Pancras International to Luton Airport on EMR Connect can save 42% on selected journeys.
With tickets starting at £20 for a family of up to two adults and four children, including the DART, the Family Saver also offers a more affordable way to begin a family holiday during the Christmas and New Year period.
