Secret Fare expands: Travel between Nottingham and Sheffield for as little as £4

East Midlands Railway (EMR), which is operated by Transport UK, has today announced a further expansion of its popular Secret Fare scheme, introducing a range of new heavily discounted regional and intercity journeys across the East Midlands and beyond.

Launched in partnership with Seatfrog, Secret Fare offers customers savings of up to 50 per cent in exchange for being flexible with their departure time. More than 11,000 customers have already taken advantage of the scheme.

Customers can book from when services become available – usually around three months before travel and up until two days before departure. Tickets are available via the Seatfrog app or the dedicated Secret Fare webpage. Customers select their journey, date and preferred time window (morning, afternoon or evening). Seatfrog emails the confirmed train time and ticket 24 hours before departure.

Following strong demand, EMR has now added the following new Secret Fare routes:

These new options build on the existing Secret Fare journeys already available between major towns and cities including Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby and London.
