EMR launch more Secret Fare journeys: Including Leicester to London for as little as £12

East Midlands Railway (EMR) is now offering more journey options for customers who want to take advantage of a new ticket type, which offers savings of up to 50 per cent.

Its new Secret Fare, which was launched in partnership with Seatfrog earlier this year, offers a unique opportunity for those who are flexible with their travel times.

When the fares launched, customers travelling from Sheffield, Nottingham, Liverpool, and Derby were able to take advantage.

EMR has now extended the number of Secret Fare journey options, including Loughborough to London and Leicester to London for as little as £12.

Customers can also travel between Skegness to Nottingham from £7, Chesterfield to London St Pancras from £16 and from East Midlands Parkway to London St Pancras from £12.

How does it work?

• Customers can book their Secret Fare ticket from when services open for reservation—usually around three months before, and up until two days before the journey.
• Customers can use Seatfrog's app or head to the Secret Fare webpage: https://secretfare.seatfrog.com
• They enter their chosen journey and travel date.
• Choose a time window (morning, afternoon, or evening).
• Seatfrog will email them their discounted ticket with their booked time 24 hours before departure, so they’ll know when they’ll be travelling in plenty of time.

"More than 500 customers have already taken advantage of the cheap fares since we introduced them earlier this summer."
