A merry deal for all: Lower fares now available on the Robin Hood Line
- Advance Purchase tickets launched on Robin Hood Line
- Customers can now buy tickets for as little as £2.60 for travel between Worksop and Nottingham
- Tickets will allow operator to sell cheaper tickets at quieter times - moving demand away from current busy services
East Midlands Railway (EMR) customers who travel on the Robin Hood Line between Nottingham and Worksop can now access cheaper fares following the introduction of Advance Purchase tickets on the route.
These tickets allow customers to make big savings by purchasing them several weeks before their intended travel date.
Advance Purchase tickets between Nottingham and Worksop start from as little as £2.60.
They are ideal for customers who know where and when they wish to travel. Their introduction will also help EMR promote more affordable travel options during off-peak hours, aiming to reduce demand at peak times.
Customers can book up to 12 weeks in advance, up until the day before their journey. However, availability is limited, so the further ahead customers book, the more likely they are to secure a ticket for their preferred date and time.
Jenna Cowie, Acting Commercial Director at East Midlands Railway, said: "We are excited to launch Advance Purchase fares on the Robin Hood Line.
"We hope these cheaper tickets will be popular with people visiting Nottingham or travelling on the route to attractions such as Creswell Crags or Newstead Abbey."
Customers using Advance Purchase tickets must travel from and to the station and at the specific times stated on their ticket. If a customer misses their booked train, they will need to purchase a new ticket.
Advance Purchase tickets are valid for single journeys only.
