New EMR Accessibility Maps help customers navigate stations easier
- EMR has created more Accessibility Maps to help better inform customers of key facilities
- Maps were created to help customers understand key accessibility information
- Created using feedback from members of EMR's Accessibility Panel
- New station maps were created for Chesterfield, Derby, Leicester, Sheffield and London - amongst others
- Maps are available via EMR's website, at stations or from the Customer Service Centre
East Midlands Railway (EMR) has created a new series of Accessibility Maps to help customers get around its stations.
The maps offer detailed, user-friendly information about station facilities and accessible features, helping customers with additional needs plan their journeys with greater confidence.
They were developed using feedback from members of EMR’s Accessibility Panel - a group of disabled customers who regularly share their experiences and insights with the company.
Customers can now download Accessibility Maps for the following locations:
- Chesterfield Station
- Derby Station
- Kettering Station
- Leicester Station
- London St Pancras Station
- Sheffield Station
- Nottingham Station
- Robin Hood Line route
The maps are available through multiple channels, including EMR’s website, participating staffed stations, and by contacting EMR’s Customer Service Centre on 03457 125678.
Philippa Cresswell, Customer Experience Director at East Midlands Railway, said: “These new Accessibility Maps are part of our ongoing efforts to remove barriers and make rail travel more inclusive for everyone.
“They have been designed to give customers clear, practical information that supports a smoother, more confident journey - whether they're planning ahead or navigating the station on the day."
