- The initiative is being delivered in partnership with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and the Robin Hood Line Community Rail Partnership
- It includes the introduction of bespoke planters designed to support pollinators and native wildflowers.
- Volunteers, school groups, and local organisations will support the delivery of key elements of the work.
- The project forms part of EMR’s wider Getting There Greener strategy.

- New station maps were created for Chesterfield, Derby, Leicester, Sheffield and London - amongst others
- Maps are available via EMR's website, at stations or from the Customer Service Centre

Sheffield station's Cycle Hub: EMR urges customers to retrieve bikes before April 27
- Bikes left at Sheffield station's Cycle Hub were removed so refurbishment could take place
- Despite efforts to alert customers many bikes still remain uncollected
- Owners have until April 27 to collect them or they will be donated to charity

- EMR has launched a children’s book to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the modern railway and mark World Book Day 2025
- An Adventure Through Railway Past follows Miles' journey across EMR's network as he visits heritage locations
- EMR is distributing 6,000 copies of the storybook to more than 70 schools across its network
- EMR employees will be hosting over 25 live readings of the book at primary schools as part of World Book Day
- A braille version of the book has also been created working in partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People

- Access to platforms via Nottingham station's footbridge will be closed next month
- A recent pilot showed a significant increase in revenue during the footbridge closure—equating to a possible £1.1m per year
- There was also a significant improvement in safety and security at the station—including three suicidal interventions
- The right of way connecting the two streets will be maintained, as will access to the tram
- Customers will need to use the main entrance of the station and are advised to leave extra time to reach their platform
- The closure will be regularly reviewed
