- A major project to replace a bridge in Stockport will mean no EMR services running northwest of Sheffield for 21 days from Saturday 2 to Friday 22 August
- EMR services which usually run between Norwich and Liverpool Lime Street will instead run between Norwich and Sheffield only
- Sheffield–Manchester/Liverpool and Sheffield–Stockport customers can use tickets on other operators at no extra cost; trains skip Stockport
- Rail Replacement buses will also run between Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly to supplement other operator's train services
